    VitalSource Names Mike Sugarman, Director of Platform Sales

    Boston, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 – Michael Hale, Vice President of Sales, VitalSource Technologies Inc., announced today the addition of Mike Sugarman as Director of Platform Sales.

    Mike Sugarman - Director of Platform Sales - VitalSourceMr. Sugarman is based in the VitalSource® Boston office. He will lead the Platform Sales team to focus on building strategic engagements around the platform technologies with publishers and other content providers, and to help VitalSource customers deliver scalable learning solutions.

    “Mike Sugarman’s range of experience and understanding of the industry is a terrific addition to our VitalSource team,” Michael Hale said. “And we look forward to his leadership in exploring new directions for our platform technologies.”

    Prior to joining VitalSource, Mr. Sugarman was Senior Vice President at Emerald Publishing Group where he led the North America sales group and publishing operations. He also has held senior positions in product development and marketing with Elsevier, McGraw-Hill, and Cengage.

    “As a veteran of higher ed and scholarly publishing, my experience ranges across roles and functions in organizations large and small,” Mike Sugarman stated. “I have a particular affinity for market development, so I’m excited about this new challenge and about discovering innovative opportunities for VitalSource.”

    Mr. Sugarman is a native of New York, and an alumnus of Brown University.
